In Drawn, masking is the process of using the content of one layer to draw the content of another layer where their respective contents intersect.

To set a layer's mask, double-click on the layer name in the timeline to bring up the layer properties window. Select the layer you want to use as a mask from the dropdown and press the "OK" button.

Layers that are masked have a small "m" icon to the left of the layer's name in the timeline.

Layers that are used as masks can be hidden or visible without changing the mask effect on the layers that use them as masks.
